Todd Boehly’s Chelsea plans might be jeopardized if Aston Villa finalize a £26 million move

Chelsea had made early moves to sign Kounde from Sevilla ahead of the summer transfer window. It was thought to be Chelsea’s top goal this time around, with discussions just continuing from last summer’s transfer window. The consequences were then enforced on Roman Abramovich and Chelsea, with clubs gradually picking off summer window targets.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso might go for Barcelona, as could Antonio Rudiger if he joins Real Madrid. The government’s sanctions have been explicit, and the deal to take up Chelsea must be finalized as quickly as possible, or else they risk missing all of their goals.
Carlos was signed by Aston Villa on Thursday afternoon for a fee of roughly £26 million, only days after Kounde was photographed in London.

Rivals in the Premier League Newcastle had attempted to get the Brazilian earlier this year, so it’s hoped that Sevilla has prepared for a season without both of them.

Will Sevilla let both of its top center-backs depart, or will it be a first-come, first-served basis? Only time will tell if this is true.

Chelsea could only watch as last summer’s target Erling Haaland joined Manchester City in recent weeks. This may also be the case with long-term goal Aurélien Tchouaméni, who has been extensively linked with Real Madrid following their failure to sign Kylian Mbappé.

Hopefully, Chelsea’s takeover dilemma will be resolved sooner rather than later so that they do not lose out on Kounde or any other summer transfer targets…
