Todd Boehly, is willing to authorize Romelu Lukaku’s move to Inter Milan on one condition

After a disappointing first season at Chelsea, Romelu Lukaku wants to return to his previous club Inter Milan this summer.

Lukaku failed to establish himself in Chelsea’s starting lineup following his club-record £97.5 million transfer last summer.

The 29-year-old striker’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in four years, although he has stated that he wants to return to Serie A this summer.

While Lukaku wants to return to Inter Milan, the Italian club cannot afford a permanent contract for the Belgian striker, therefore they are hoping to sign him on loan from Chelsea.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is willing to authorize Lukaku’s loan to Inter Milan only if it benefits Chelsea financially, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Daily Mail.

This week, Boehly is due to meet with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel to discuss Lukaku’s future at the club.

As soon as Boehly authorizes Lukaku’s loan period, he is supposed to have a private plane waiting for him to go to Italy.

If Boehly rejects the move, Lukaku is expected to request a meeting with the club’s American owner to discuss his future with the club.
