According to rumours, new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has agreed to sign Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele as a free agent this summer.
H. Grimes, a transfer analyst, believes that Dembele has agreed to join Chelsea, and if the rumor is correct, this will be Boehly’s first signing as Chelsea owner.
Other trustworthy sources have yet to confirm Dembele’s transfer to Chelsea, so we shouldn’t get our hopes up just yet.
“Dembele signs the last minutes at Chelsea,” @es grimes tweeted. “It’s done.”
“As we mentioned months ago, Dembele is set to join Tuchel CFC,” she said. Dembele and CFC reached an agreement on personal terms, as reported a week ago. CFC is striving to close the deal as soon as possible.”
Dembele joined Barcelona in 2017 from Borussia Dortmund (where he played under Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel) and signed a five-year contract with a €400 million release clause.
Dembele is set to depart Barcelona this summer as a free agent, with rumors connecting him with a transfer to Chelsea.
Tuchel handled Dembele during his brief tenure at Borussia Dortmund, when he lauded the player’s abilities. “Of course, we love his dribbling, we love his boldness, we love his pace, and we love his ball control,” he added via GOAL. We have a good understanding of many aspects of his game because to his training.
“Ousmane is a player who mixes dribbling, passing, and creating space at a high level. That’s incredible.”
