Only two weeks ago, rumours in Italy indicated that Chelsea had struck an early deal to sign Ivan Perisic, a 33-year-old Croatian midfielder, on a free transfer.
The Croatian international is poised to depart Inter Milan at the conclusion of the season after failing to reach an agreement with the club, and he is dissatisfied with the Serie A giants’ low offer.
Inter only gave Perisic a two-year contract for roughly £65,000 per week after he wanted a new three-year contract costing just under £100,000 per week.
Inter Milan has reportedly increased their new contract offer to Ivan Perisic.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A club is anxious to keep the 33-year-old and has submitted an increased £5 million-per-season offer.
Perisic is said to be weighing his options, with Tottenham also showing an interest in the two-footed midfielder.
