Messi and Ronaldo have cemented their reputations as the finest players of their time.

In the previous 15 years, both players have won seven and five Ballon d’Or honors, respectively.

“There are some players, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are on a different level than everybody else out there,” Gerrard was quoted as saying by Give Me Sport.

“However, Ronaldo is not a member of my squad.” I’m more interested in what you plan to accomplish for the team. What do you think we’ll be able to accomplish together? Ronaldo will bring you trophies, but I like to play as part of a team rather than as an individual, therefore I will always go that route.”
