According to a MARCA report, defender Eder Militao has also reached an agreement with Real Madrid for a contract extension, one that would keep him in the Spanish capital until the summer of 2028. This comes after both Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes agreed to extend their contracts with the club.
According to the same rumor, Militao’s release clause will also be raised to €1,000 million, just as it was with Vinicius and Rodrygo. His prior contract was scheduled to end in 2025.
This season, when every single supporter and expert predicted that Real Madrid would struggle without both Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, Militao emerged as one of the team’s most important starters. Even though Militao’s performance dipped a little in the latter part of the season, he proved to be a highly trustworthy defender.
The Brazilian center-back, who is just 24 years old, will continue to improve as he gains more experience and picks up defensive tips from more seasoned players like David Alaba and Antonio Rudier.
