Report: Fenerbahce increases their offer for Mariano to €5 million per year

According to an AS report, Fenerbahce have upgraded their offer to Real Madrid forward Mariano Diaz, who is on the verge of joining the Turkish team. Mariano’s representative, David Aranda, responded that they wanted €5 million per year instead of the initial €4 million/year offer from Fenerbahce. Mariano seems to be joining the Turkish team this summer after Fenerbahce delivered.

It is now up to Mariano to decide where he wants to play after Fenerbahce gave him a contract; Getafe is also interested in the attacker but won’t be able to match what Fenerbahce offered him.

Given that getting Mariano Diaz’s contract off of Real Madrid’s books is their first aim, a transfer fee won’t be a barrier for him to join. Madrid’s ambition seems to have finally come true this summer.
