Andreas Christensen has already been acquired by Barcelona from Chelsea, but they have other targets in mind.
The Catalan giants are interested in Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, two other Stamford Bridge players.
Today’s Sport reports that Chelsea has set a price of €13 million for each of their defenders.
Given that Azpilicueta is substantially older and only has one year left on his contract, we’re not sure how they arrived at that number, but €13 million seems a fair price for Alonso, who despite his terrible moments is still a solid full defender for the Spanish national team.
According to the article, Chelsea are open to compromise. We wonder whether they would agree to a bundle offer for both at a discounted price.
However, as is customary with moves involving Barcelona, there are so many uncertainties surrounding their finances that it may be difficult to determine what to take seriously and what to see as wholly impractical at this time.
