Jude Bellingham is becoming a key target for Real Madrid, according to Spanish station Cadena SER, with Los Blancos already advising Borussia Dortmund of their intention to recruit the juvenile prodigy. Liverpool is also interested in signing the English international, and will be willing to pay €100 million to acquire his talents.
Since breaking into the Birmingham City FC first-team squad as a 16-year-old, Jude Bellingham has been one of Europe’s most highly-rated whizkids. At the start of his professional career, the adolescent wonderkid had some of Europe’s greatest teams clamoring for his signature before deciding to join Borussia Dortmund.
Despite still being in his teens, the 18-year-old has established himself as a key figure for Dortmund, scoring 10 goals and providing 18 assists in 90 appearances for the Black and Yellows. Simultaneously, Bellingham has established himself in the English national team while also catching the attention of a number of high-profile teams around Europe, including Real Madrid and Liverpool.
Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have already made touch to negotiate a deal for Bellingham, with Los Blancos telling the Bundesliga giants of their interest. During their discussions for Erling Haaland, who recently joined Manchester City, Real Madrid met with Dortmund.
The Spanish giants are willing to pay a high price to get the 18-year-old, who might be Luka Modric’s long-term replacement. Real Madrid, on the other hand, will have to compete with Liverpool for Bellingham’s services.
As James Milner approaches the end of his glittering career, Liverpool, like Real Madrid, will certainly want to sign Bellingham in 2023. Furthermore, both Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara are in their thirties, pushing Liverpool to look for a long-term midfield option.

While Liverpool will be willing to spend roughly €100 million for Bellingham next season, Real Madrid may decide to sign him this year before loaning him back to Dortmund, depending on how the discussions go. Liverpool’s intentions may be altered as a result of this news, albeit they may not have the funds to sign Bellingham after paying a large fee to secure Darwin Nunez’s services.
