Real Madrid gets double joy As another one year deal done

Following their 14th UEFA Champions League victory, Real Madrid has been providing more and more good news to their supporters in recent days. Luka Modric, one of their most illustrious midfielders, has elected to extend his contract, and Los Blancos have also agreed to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco.

Modric extends his one-year contract.

Real Madrid’s Luka Modric has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until at least the summer of 2023. Modric will turn 37 years old in September, thus this might be his final season with Real Madrid.

At Santiago Bernabeu, Modric has established himself as one of the greatest players of the modern era, earning five Champions League trophies and the Ballon d’Or in 2018.

To date, the 2018 World Cup finalist has spent nine seasons with Real Madrid, the most recent of which saw him add three more medals to his already illustrious career.

With a 1-0 final victory over Liverpool at Stade de France, the Blancos added their 14th European crown to their Supercopa de Espana and La Liga triumphs.

Since joining Madrid from Tottenham in 2012, Modric has made 462 appearances for the club, winning 19 major championships.

“I’m hoping to retire in Madrid.” Madrid is where I call home. He added after earning the Marca Leyenda award earlier this month, “I feel extremely pleased with the club, in the city, and highly liked by the people.”

Real Madrid and AS Monaco have reached an agreement worth €100 million.

Real Madrid and AS Monaco have struck a deal for the transfer of Aurelien Tchouameni. The paperwork and legal processes for the 22-year-move old’s to be signed and formally announced are now being completed by both teams.

Tchouameni’s success in the previous Ligue 1 season received a lot of attention, and he earned interest from large teams all around Europe.

In the hunt to recruit Tchouameni for the next season, Real Madrid overcame PSG and Liverpool. Monaco was also in negotiations with heavyweights from France and England, but it was learned that the European champions were able to get Tchouameni for the coming season. PSG and Liverpool, according to rumors, backed out of the agreement after realizing that Tchouameni was only interested in playing for Real Madrid.

This follows the signing of Eduardo Camavinga, a 19-year-old French international who joined Real Madrid from Rennes in 2021. Tchouameni is expected to join the Los Blancos midfield, which also has Casemiro, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos. These players, though, are all in their early to mid-thirties and will only be able to play for the club for a few more years.
