‘Please drop me against Everton am not playing’ – Chelsea star says as he’s set to leave club

Marcos Alonso, a left defender for Chelsea, is reportedly closing in on a move to Camp Nou. The 31-year-old international from Spain has reportedly been linked with a summer transfer to Barcelona.

However, according to SPORT, Marcos Alonso has pleaded with Tuchel not to start him tonight against Everton because he wants to focus on making a decision about his future and avoid being injured, which would interfere with that decision.

The trade is already in its final stages, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

“Barcelona are close on the Marcos Alonso deal,” asserts Romano. Barça and Chelsea are working on the remaining aspects of their agreement in order to complete the transaction as quickly as possible.

“I’ve been informed the total price will be less than €10m. Three months ago, personal conditions were already decided upon.
With six years at Stanford Bridge and five major championships to his name, Marcos Alonso may have played his last match for Chelsea.

Alonso is expected to join Barcelona on a 10-million euro deal, with a one-year extension option, and will sign a deal with the Catalan club until 2024.
