Scott Carson’s one-year contract extension with Manchester City has been revealed. Despite only appearing in two games in his three seasons with the club, the experienced goalie will continue with the club.
Manchester City confirmed the extension of goalkeeper Scott Carson’s contract on Tuesday. He is the only City player to have ever won the Champions League.
With Liverpool, the 36-year-old won Europe’s most prestigious club championship in 2005. He has only appeared in two games for City in all competitions since joining from Derby County in 2019. After Ederson Moraes and Zack Steffen, he is the third goalkeeper.
Carson has also played for Wigan Athletic, Charlton Athletic, Leeds United, Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday, and Bursaspor throughout his 19 years as a professional player. Over the course of his career, he has appeared in 560 games.
