Chelsea is sending out feelers for players to purchase and trade this summer, and one of the players they’ve been connected to is Man City’s, Raheem Sterling.
Sterling has been an important player for Pep Guardiola over the years, but it appears that there is a desire for a new start at the Etihad and that he may be sacrificed.
On TalkSport, Tony Cascarino praised the notion, stating Sterling would be the “ideal” replacement for Christina Pulisic if she goes.
“I could imagine Chelsea seeking to sign that sort of wide guy for Tuchel.”
“Why wouldn’t you?” says the narrator. He builds statistics and just stretches teams.
“Pace always strains opponents, and if you want to counter-attack, Raheem is a superb counter-attacker because his pace is so deadly.”
The Blues have been linked with a summer assault on Man City, with sources claiming they might also recruit Sterling’s colleague Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal and Tottenham are among the Premier League teams connected with the Brazilian attacker.
Chelsea has been offered his services, according to the Evening Standard, and they may be tempted, given the uncertainty surrounding Romelu Lukaku’s future.
