The Phillips bid has been submitted.’
Following Haaland’s arrival, City is said to have lost no time in getting down to work, with interest in Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips being pursued.
According to Football Insider, City has “made an offer” for the 26-year-old, who has been targeted by Guardiola as a replacement for the outgoing Fernandinho.
“Phillips is City’s top target for the remainder of the summer window, according to a City source,” they claim. “Despite his close ties to the club, Leeds face a huge struggle to keep the England international, 26.”
Phillips has also been linked with transfers to Liverpool and Manchester United but has publicly said that he would not leave his childhood club for either.
