Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for Borussia Dortmund, has been persuaded by former Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish to reject any offers from Real Madrid and make a big transfer to Liverpool instead. Both teams have been heavily linked with a bid for the England international, but any deal may need to wait until the summer of 2019 because the German club is unlikely to offload both Bellingham and Erling Haaland in the same transfer season.
Liverpool, according to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano, is interested in the 19-year-old and has reportedly been in touch with Bellingham’s representatives as well as Dortmund. “The persons close to Jude Bellingham and Borussia Dortmund were approached by Liverpool a few weeks ago to inquire about the issue and determine whether they had the opportunity to make a bid, according to Romano on his YouTube channel.
“No,” was the response. This summer, the player cannot be beaten. Along with many other elite foreign clubs, Liverpool is considering Bellingham. Although they have begun the discussions and attempted to contact Borussia Dortmund, I’m not claiming that he will be a future Liverpool player. Similar to the [Erling] Haaland story, it will be a chaotic race.”
As a replacement for the storied midfield of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Casemiro, Bellingham is apparently also a target for Real Madrid. He would join Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde in this new-look midfield.
However, Bellingham has been informed by McLeish that it is time for him to head back to England. McLeish informed Football Insider that Jude had completed his sentence overseas. When you’re so young, I always think you want to play for a Premier League team. Liverpool, why not? They have lately won the Premier League and won the Champions League a few years ago. They are a force to be reckoned with, flying in every single season. Liverpool, why not? Real Madrid may enter, but is it the name that draws you in more than your ability to fit in at a club?
Although manager Jurgen Klopp has acknowledged that he likes Bellingham, it is apparently unlikely that Liverpool would add to their midfield this summer. He is not for sale, according to Klopp. That is the player’s first issue, then. That player’s one issue only, though!
“I don’t anticipate anything happening in the middle, but you never know. Suppose someone approaches you and says, “I want to go…”
“We can get through it. Which place do you wish to begin? So, from left to right, Fabinho, [Jordan] Henderson, Thiago, [James] Milner, [Naby] Keita, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, Fabio Carvalho, and [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain. Tell me now what sort of player we are lacking. Then why is a midfielder needed? the day when someone approaches me and specifically explains why.”
