Real Madrid

For only £25M, Madrid “will permit” a top-tier Arsenal target to depart

According to reports in the media, Real Madrid is only asking for £25 million in order to let Arsenal target Marcos Asensio to leave the team this summer.

Asensio has won three La Liga championships and three Champions League medals while playing for Real Madrid, but the winger only started 21 games in both leagues last year.

Despite receiving little playing time under manager Carlo Ancelotti, the Spanish international has a decent season record of 10 goals and one assist. However, there are growing concerns regarding his future at the club.

Madrid is aware of the youngster’s promise, and he has occasionally been remarkable, but he has fallen short of the club’s expectations, and with Madrid wanting to replace some players in the lineup, they are apparently prepared to let him go.

According to the Italian press (via Football-London), Madrid will not permit Asensio to leave the team for any amount less than the £25 million that they are now seeking.
Although Milan is now in the lead, Arsenal is still highly keen on a potential trade.
