FA Cup: Klopp reveals how Tuchel surprised him in FA Cup final

Chelsea and Liverpool battled out a goalless draw in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

On the night, both sides were evenly matched, with Chelsea eventually losing the draw in a penalty shootout.

Thomas Tuchel began Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic in the center of the park, which made for a great midfield tussle.

Kovacic was a question mark heading into the final, and Jurgen Klopp stated that he was shocked to see him play.

Klopp told ITV before kick-off, “It’s a bit of a surprise [Kovacic starting].”

“I heard there was a chance during the press conference.” I didn’t believe he’d make it after seeing that tackle and Leeds’ red card.

“Good for him for being able to do it. That was unexpected. Apart from that, no, it’s the lineup we’re expecting.
