Done deal. Chelsea set to Sealed third signing of the summer

Gabriel Slonina, a goalkeeper for the United States junior national team, will join Chelsea from the MLS franchise Chicago Fire for a basic price of $10 million, with the potential for add-ons to bring the total to $15 million.

Before the contract is formally completed by both teams, the 18-year-old goalkeeper will go to London to pass a physical.

After the transaction is complete, Slonina will spend the remainder of the current MLS season on loan with the Fire before moving to Chelsea on January 1.

Slonina will play for Chicago until the end of the season before joining Chelsea in January.
