Cristiano Ronaldo’s retirement property in Portugal has allegedly nearly quadrupled in value to £17 million ($20 million).
The house, which Ronaldo, 37, will share with his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28, and their five children in Quinta do Marinha on the Portuguese Riviera, is located in Quinta da Marinha. Quinta da Marinha is half an hour from Lisbon Airport and ten minutes from the center of Cascais, the best holiday destination on the Lisbon coast.
“He’s pushed for excellence throughout his soccer career, and he wants the same off the game,” a source said. For himself and his family, he wants everything to be perfect. He plans to retire there after his career is over, and he wants to be completely satisfied.”
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner set aside £10 million ($12 million) for the opulent residence at first, but the cost has risen owing to material costs and Ronaldo’s desire for perfection. “The initial budget was roughly £10 million ($12 million), but it is now £17 million ($20 million),” another insider added. He goes to great lengths to ensure that he and his family are as happy and comfortable as possible. The initial project has undergone various alterations.”
“However, a large portion of the price rise is due to an increase in the cost of construction supplies. They’ve flown, as everyone knows. It’s a problem that affects more than just Portugal.
The mansion’s construction has just recently begun, and it is projected to be completed in late 2023. It will be the most recent addition to the footballer’s estate.
The Manchester United striker is rumored to be considering buying the mansion as an investment. Meanwhile, TV 7 Dias reported that he intended to utilize it as a family home following his retirement. “The area was recently gated off and it was acquired by Ronaldo,” a person billed as a prospective neighbor told the magazine. When he finishes his profession, he plans to move here with his family. Everyone in the neighborhood is aware of it, and we’re delighted. “Ronaldo is Ronaldo,” he says.
Among Ronaldo’s several assets is a seven-story apartment building overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Funchal, Madeira, which he purchased in 2019. The property is home to his mother and elder brother.
After returning to his native island following his mother’s stroke in 2020, the former Juventus player spent time there with Rodriguez and their children. He then flew back to Italy, where he had a beautiful home, and booked a £3,500 ($4208) a week villa. A £4.8 million ($5.7 million) villa on a gated fortress estate called La Finca outside Madrid, where Gareth Bale also resides, is also on Ronaldo’s list of opulent properties.
