Cristiano Ronaldo was excluded from the list of 100 most valued players

The world’s 100 most valued players include Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes, but Cristiano Ronaldo is absent from the list, which is full of surprises.

The CIES Football Observatory Weekly has published its most recent football value table, which assesses player transfer values throughout the world. There are a few Manchester United players in their top 100, but Ronaldo isn’t one of them, despite being one of the club’s few bright spots in recent months.

Sancho is United’s highest-ranked player, with a value of €103.2 million, putting him in 13th place on the list. Despite a terrible recent season at Old Trafford, he is slightly ahead of teammate Fernandes in 17th place, with the Portugal international having an estimated worth of €97.8 million.
Scott McTominay (€67.5 million) and Harry Maguire (€52 million) are also among the top 100 players, with the former being valued higher than Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, and Heung-min Son. The Premier League dominated the rankings, with 41 players from England’s best teams appearing on the list.

Despite the fact that Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has broken numerous records in the past year after becoming the all-time leading striker, there is no space for him. Following his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain last year, the Portuguese ace’s great adversary Lionel Messi is also absent.

Messi’s teammate Kylian Mbappe, who is valued at €205.6 million, is at the top of the list. The French superstar is ahead of Vinicius Jr (€185.3 million), who is in second place, and Erling Haaland (€152.6 million), who has joined Manchester City.

Frenkie de Jong (€112.5m), a United transfer target, is regarded as the world’s sixth most valuable player, more than any of the Reds’ present players. United has contacted Barcelona to inquire about the midfielder’s availability as they consider a summer transfer.

Darwin Nunez of Benfica, who has been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford, also reaches the top 100 with a €70.1 million valuation. Declan Rice, a West Ham player valued at €75.1 million, is also included.
