Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a transfer to Roma — Fabrizio Romano gives an update.

According to rumors in Italy, Jose Mourinho is considering a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo at AS Roma.

Fabrizio Romano, writing in his column for Caught Offside, has debunked such rumors.
As Romano put it: “As of today, I don’t have any news on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future.

“Cristiano Ronaldo’s wage is still quite high for any Italian team, and I’m not aware of any talks to lure him away from Manchester United.

“Erik ten Hag has already had great discussions with him, and AS Roma are now quite pleased with Tammy Abraham as the project’s star in Jose Mourinho’s 3-4-2-1 configuration.”

As previously reported, the 37-year-old will stay for another season to complete the last year of his contract, even if it means losing out on the Champions League.

With the departure of Edinson Cavani and the suspension of Mason Greenwood, Ronaldo remains our best striker option unless we recruit someone fresh this summer.
