Chelsea planning to sign one of the star players
According to the latest reports from football london, Chelsea has been linked with a move for Villarreal centre-half Pau Torres as they seek to replace the departing Antonio Rudiger.
After months of speculation and rumors about his future at the club, Blues boss Thomas Tuchel confirmed after his side’s win over West Ham on Sunday that the German will be departing Stamford Bridge when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The club has been unable to hold contract talks for some time now with the sanctions against the club, meaning that they have been unable to agree the deal that Rudiger would want
And with news Blues defender Antonio Rudiger is set to join Real Madrid this summer, it seems certain Spain star Torres would have to fill the void left by the versatile German in the Blues backline.
The Telegraph says Torres would be the stand-out option as Rudiger’s successor, but add they are likely to face competition for his signature from Manchester United.
And, of course, any business by Chelsea in the transfer market will only be possible once sanctions are lifted following the arrival of new owners.

The Brazilian has already bettered his output from last season when he scored 10 times in 46 games, and That form has seen him attract interest from across Europe, with some of the continent’s biggest sides said to be keen.
But despite the fact that Chelsea is still under sanction and is not able to sign players right now, it is expected that they are lining up a number of deals once the new owners are confirmed and the sanctions are lifted.
And according to reports on the SUN, Chelsea has been in contact with Ajax about a possible deal for Anthony, who would be the immediate replacement for the inconsistent Hakim Ziyech
