Chelsea is expected to gain £42 million on Eden Hazard’s transfer to Real Madrid
Eden Michael Hazard is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a winger or attacking midfielder for Spanish club Real Madrid and captains the Belgium national team
Chelsea got £88 million for the sale of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in the summer of 2019.
The contract featured a condition that provided an additional monetary reward if Real Madrid won the Champions League with Hazard on board.
Following the original £88 million cash payment for Hazard, a Champions League victory for Madrid may push the price up to £130 million.
Hazard’s last appearance for Real Madrid was on February 19 against Alaves, and he has only one goal this season, which came in a Copa del Rey encounter against Elche.
Hazard has had an injury-plagued season combined with a lack of form, making just 22 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid this season, three of which were in the Champions League, making him eligible for a winners medal should Real Madrid defeat Liverpool on May 28.
