Ceballos may remain at Real Madrid, according to sources
According to club insiders, Ancelotti believes in the midfielder but Betis cannot meet Real Madrid’s expectations.
Due to the dearth of compelling proposals, Real Madrid is currently contemplating keeping midfielder Dani Ceballos for the 2022–2023 campaign. Los Blancos had anticipated Betis’ interest in the midfielder, but the Andalusian club informed Madrid’s management and Ceballos’ team that they are now unable to pay a transfer price.
Real Madrid is really pleased with Ceballos’ attitude and performance from the last third of last season, and Carlo Ancelotti thinks the midfielder from Spain can help the Los Blancos in what will be a very demanding and arduous season even with the addition of Tchouameni.
Ceballos knows that teams who could be interested in signing him would prefer to wait until he becomes a free agent after one year, but he still wants to find more playing time and a greater role abroad to improve his prospects of competing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
If that happens and Ceballos remains in the Spanish capital for another season, you can count on the midfielder from Spain to be a solid backup when the veterans and key players need a break.
