‘Back him’ — Manchester United fans send simple message to board after Erik ten Hag announcement

The news of the appointment of Erik Ten Hag as the Manchester United Head Coach was received with great optimism from fans. He was announced to take over the club for 3 years starting in the summer of 2022 with an option of another one year extension

After sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in December, the club appointed Ralf Rangnick on an interim basis. Earlier report have shown that Ten Hag was identified as a preferred candidate to step into the dugout after beating Mauricio Pochettino and others, the confirmation has come this morning.

 

Erik Ten Hag has previously spend term under Manchester City Head Coach in Bayern Munich before he was appointed as Head Coach by Eredivisie giants Ajax in 2017. The 52 years Dutch tactician has since guided them to two league cups triumph and two domestic cups with the potential of winning the third league cups this year after losing out on the opportunity of winning the third Dutch cups having lost out the final to fellow Eredivisie giants PSV.

For the second time this season, United were humbled by bitter rivals Liverpool and that result leaves them with a mountain to climb when it comes to Champions League qualification. However, following the Ten Hag announcement, there is fresh spirit and enthusiasm within the dedicated United fan-base.
